Poem, 05 R1

 Demise of the Twinkie

A cake, with the color of gold,

looks like a sponge. In the interior,

it is filled with cream and

68 percent air.  

It is a joyful treat for some while

it represents a health concern to others. 

The end of it would be a loss

of a sibling of the junk food family.

There are many uses for the twinkles

ranging from eating to experimenting.

They toast similar

to a marshmallow at high heat. But the filling

becomes carbon if it stays too long.

They also can be dissolved in water

with its cream oozing out of the soaked pores of pastry.

It contains lower calories

than any other junk food

that can act as a dieting where

you lose more than gain

in weight as well as caloric intake.

This nostalgia would soon be over,

but its shelf life continue as we age.

where you would lose substantial weight

due to the low caloric intake of pastry.

With the demise, the stock becomes scarce

as if there were gas lines. But it would remain

a substantial treat since it has a longevity.

Poem, 04 R1

The Beginning of Sandy

Continuous movement across the keys

changes the white area into

a cultivated field of black texts

The unfazed eyes remain still and long while

reflecting the white square against the black pupils.

The uncertain feeling decreases

as the scroll reach the bottom.

Without warnings, feeling began to escalate with

the light projections began to flicker

as if it was a feature of the performance.

Electronic sentry, chirping and tweeting, erodes as if

it was devoid of necessaries.

Fanatical movement of seeking for active source

ended in futile attempt as the only illumination

comes across the street.

Projection, white and illuminated with black stripes,

was now dark with devoid of activity and

lack of order as if a flood have engulfed.

Poem, 04

The Beginning of Sandy

Hands moving on the keys in a fervently manner.

Pupils of the eyes zigzags while

reflecting the white  square.

The intensity increases as the scroll reach the bottom.

Once blank, white area; now filled with the rows of black texts.

As space of the scroll and bottom decrease,

light projectors began to flicker on and off,

as if it was a feature of the performance. 

The sentry, chirping and tweeting, erodes as

vitals were eliminated.

The fanatical searching of the illuminated source

ended in futile attempt as the only irradiated source

comes from the street.

Projection, white and illuminated with black stripes,

was now dark with devoid of activity.

Poem, 03 R1

A circular area of grass,

surrounded by vivid adornment

in the facade of the institution,

there it resides,

a tall, centric structure

with a piece of fabric attached

on the pinnacle. It represents,

from joy to anger, different ideas:

patriotism for some and

signals for other.

Aspects of the positioning may

influence certain situations.

Dates affect its remembrance

where it may excite or mourn

It made to withstand

and persevere

as time progresses.
